Are Black Arks just kind of broken? So I'm nearing the end point of my first Dark Elf vortex campaign and holy shit these things are good. I'm playing as Lokhir Fellheart too so he gets them basically for free. I didn't use them that much in the early game because I didn't realize just how good they were but fuck are they exploitable.

Main tips for using them: Put as many units in them as you can in the early game. For Malus you don't even need to give him any army, you just always fight coastal battles by settlements and have the Black Ark reinforce. Later on put your most expensive units in them & have them follow a lord at sea and along the coast, keeping expensive units.

How do you upgrade your Black arks? Do you upgrade the 'artillery' support? Is it worth it? How about the other support like slave pens and pits? (Unit level/xp and post battle bonus) I obviously go for growth but when it's fully upgraded I'm not sure to go for support or unit hire and internet is not really providing any insights. 10 8 comments
